THere is a local dealer here in Canada that is selling a 2008 evo x looks to be base model, no nav and 5spd. Car has 15,000 Kilometres and they are asking 34,000CDN which roughly translates to $31,400 USD. Now, he also mentioned that the previous owner had installed an intake.. coming from the Subaru world ( i own an 07 WRX ) I know that intakes (CAN) be bad without a tune. Is this the case with the Evo?

The used car dealer does not have the stock airbox either so i would have to buy that from a Mitsubishi dealer. Basically the bottom line is, is this car worth that much money knowing that previous owner probably beat it up and knowing that i would have to buy the stock airbox myself. Is there a rough estimate on what these should be going for ?

MR base model's go for 51,000 CDN +taxes here in Ontario

 

thats way too much, IMO get them to make it stock and lower the price or keep looking!

Ask them for stuck parts and bring the price down matter of begin modified
30k before tax it would be ok deal.
There is a mr 2008 brand new here in peg for 38k cash..
