^ I remember seeing a Top Gear episode where Jeremy Clarkson races around Laguna Seca in an NSX on Gran Turismo I believe, and then does it in real life. I think he posted faster times in the game. Pretty cool episode.

Check the Modified magazine website they had an issue a few months ago and they used the evo x as a test car for the Nurburgring

Not the Ring but an idea - http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...ht=nurburgring

Can anyone confirm the Evo IX that ran 8:11 was a US GSR 5 spd?

it was most likely a EDM car because it was in Europe...and a European car mag did the test...

Not the way I drive, lol. Think my best time on the 'ring in GT4 was around 12-min.. didn't matter if it was an Evo 8 or the R89 race car.

massively delayed response, it was a japanese car, before they brought it to europe as a production, had MR bilsteins and 6spd and the run was in the wet - it was done by Best Motoring the japanese show or w/e it is

doesn't seem like it would be that fast... doesn't that track have a lot of VERY high speed straights and such? The Evo's top speed isn't as much as a lot of the other cars that have run there, though the handling is probably very close to a lot of the cars who have posted top times.

yeah - way way better for bigger power cars with way better gearing and rwd etc. they're all pros but i want to say there is some element of fear with the crazier cars - the vettes, vipers etc

the spec c sti hit a 7 58 i think, and im sure the evo could have done the same in the dry. the guy driving the car even said at the start that he wasnt going to be able to go all out for the run

I've tried searching the site as well as Google. I can only find info on the FQ400. Can anyone help me out? Times or videos? Thanks much.

Not sure how legit this site is, but a quick search in google returned this as one of the results:

Yeah but that is the GP track and not the Nordschleife.

Email rent 4 ring. I rented a Swift last year from then when I drove around the ring. I got to tour the shop and they had older EVOs in all states of tune available (as well as a c6r, race Volvo, etc). They may have picked up an X by now.
