Yo!
I did a search and found some information on Intake's and filter swaps and the CAI's with tunes. Which is the in-between for $$ and HP. To clarify I'm kind of on the overload right now because there are SO many options for intakes (good) and I dont make a lot of money (lame), I'm just trying to figure out what to do and I always like input from people that know what they are doing.....
I prefer these intake systems but dont know if they will require a Tune AGP or AMS

Any input would be great...

but if you dont make a lot of money as you state...
stay away from modding the car because once you start... the fun and the spending wont stop..

 

If you're getting a tune with the intake, just get a drop-in filter that'll run you probably 40$ or so. The end power result is going to be pretty much the same in any case though. The other question is if you want an intake for the sound, then get an open cone filter intake.

As the final advice however, I'm going to tell you to click the search button, write "Intake", select evo X forums and there's about 5219 topics asking the same thing you are.

Oh and P.S.
Asking for aftermarket parts that do not require a tune is stupid. The tune by itself is _THE BEST_ bang for the buck mod you can get even on a stock X.

 

Ok so what I got from all that is....
If I don't have a bunch of money I shouldn't even think about modding my car...
And if I need something clarified that I don't understand I'm stupid for asking the questions
