I think my bluetooth broke?
So I get in my 2010 GSR today to go to work, and when I click on the phone (Blackberry Curve) to link to the Bluetooth, it fails. Since my phone is always screwy (constantly reboots, garbles the voice, etc.), I pull the battery reboot and try again. Still nothing. So I stop (since you can only pair a phone while parked) and go into the setup and my phone is no longer listed in the Bluetooth menu. Normally I'd blame my phone, but since it was missin gfrom the cars memory, I'm leaning towards the car. So I try to pair it again, enter password, put phone in pairing mode, and then nothing, it just fails to pair. The car will keep the phone I just entered in memory, but will not pair.
Any suggestions (I know taking it to the dealer is one, but since the dealer is far away, maybe there is something I can reset, also, i will try another phone tomorrow to make sure it isn't the phone).?

my girlfriend has an 09 lancer and when she had an LG dare it was paired fine.. but after some time she had difficulty pairing the phone...we thought the bluetooth was broken...but after getting a new phone (blackberry tour) she tried it again and it worked...
soo...it could be your phone??

The bluetooth loses connection all the time. It sucks and i dont even bother using it anymore. I use a seperate visor unit from my last car. There's a thread already open for this. I believe that you have to open a case with Johnsons controls first. Then bring it to the dealer.

I have an iphone and it forgets it practically every other day now. At first it was fine (3 months), but one day it just was not paired and I have had trouble with it ever since. Not sure if it's car or phone.
I had this problem with my 2 month old MR.
I had read elsewhere here that you need to open a case with Johnson controls before the dealer will even look at anything. So I called JC and they were very friendly, gave me a case number and said I needed to go to the dealer but they would take care of me.
I went to Riverton Mitsubishi in Sandy Utah (worst Mitsu dealer EVER) they had my car for a day and then proceeded to tell me I am doing something wrong and it is my fault the car keeps forgetting my phone.
So I went to Ken Garff Mitsubishi in Salt Lake City, they had my car for about 2 hrs and said they would order a new bluetooth unit which would take a week.
After getting the new unit installed I paired my phone in the parking lot with the service guy standing next to me. That was 10 months ago and I have not had to re-pair my phone since then.
I suggest you go to your dealer and insist on getting the bluetooth unit replaced.
I believe 90% of the pairing problems people are having are due to car issues not phone issues.
