Good Dealership Experience
Good Dealership Experience
i know experiences like this are few and far between, but i actually had a very good experience with my local dealership.
like 99.99% of evo owners, i get rattling on the door panels. driver and passenger.
i was able to isolate the problem by playing a specific song that made the buzzing/rattling appear. so i took it up there last month and told them about my issue fully expecting them to come up with some excuse not to fix it. well, they took apart the panels and added some insulation foam, it didnt completely fix the issue but made it alot more bearable.
so cut to last week, the issue started coming up again. i pushed my luck and went in again. they took apart the panels, re-tightend everything and added even more insulation.
now the problem is much better, though still not all gone (cheap plastics most likely). the customer service guy felt bad that they couldn't fix it completley so he gave my car a wash and a free buff in some probelm areas that i had with people slamming their car doors into mine. so now alot of the superficial paint damage is gone, my rattling is mostly gone, and they're getting a returning customer for all my maintenance.
markham mitsu in toronto if anyone's wondering.

I put aftermarket plugs and an aftermarket clutch in
kept hitting boost cut on the freeway, couldn't figure out wtf happened. also, dealer has to reset and bleed the ACD after clutch swap
Dealer test drove it, pulled plugs, found one was cracked (the threads actually broke off in the head and had to be bored out of there), put back in the OEM plugs, test drove it again, called it good. Then, they bled and reset the ACD and charged me like 25 mins of labor. Covered the plug swap under warranty.
Total Cost: $35.
I love you, Larry Miller Subaru Mitsubishi
