FYI: Cabin Air Filter..
FYI: Cabin Air Filter..
Just so ya'll know.. I just took out the cabin air filter out of my X to swap it after all the bad pollen we've had the past month
. Anyways, the cabin air filter in new evo's are the EXACT same filter as most of the Nissan's take. I wasn't sure if anyone knew that or not. The reason that I was posting that on here is Nissan filters are usually very cheap.
Here is pic of the
and the new Nissan filter.

I just did a write-up too. It me about 2 minutes.

. no about 15mon/14k miles. never replaced. recommended replacement time is about 15k miles i think. the stock filter is also a grey filter and the one I got is white. It was really dirty tho and had a bunch of pollen in it even tho I had shook it out before.
Can I have the part# for the one you got? I hate to order from the mitsu dealer, there's gotta be an AutoZone or Advance Auto equal right?
^^ Just go in to any part store and say you need a Cabin Air filter for a 2004 Nissan Maxima. Our number, (I own a Auto Parts Franchise), is CAF1792. The CAF1792 fits '02-'06 Altima's, '03-'08 Maxima's, the Murano's, the Sentra's, the G35's, etc. You get the picture. The Nissan filters at part stores is usually not right for newer Mitsu's anyway. The only we figured it out was because our Part # was wrong for a new Outlander. Our catalog is still wrong.

There's a bunch of OE numbers that Nissan uses. I show alot of them to be:
B7200, 5M000, 27277-4M400, and 999M1-VP001.
Again it might just be easier to say you have like a 04 Altima or something.

Thanks for the info...I changed it yesterday based on your info and the original filter with 35k miles was horrible LOL...bee's and leaf particles in it...
My lungs thank you..

Purolator part #C35530 fits like a glove. About $13 at Advance Auto parts.
So easy & fast to replace I did it in the parking lot in less than 5 min. I couldn't believe how dirty the old one was after only 1 year.
