X owners that moved up from RA

I don't know if this is the right section but are there any X owners here that upgraded from an 09+ RA? Just wondering because I might be doing just that very soon. Thanks!

Ralliart to Evo GSR! I love it!! Hated that stupid paddle shifter video game feel.

I changed over to an X from an RA, mainly to get my 5sp manual back (plus all the power and handling), and I love it.

if you mod your RA right with all the AMS stuff (FMIC, UICP, CAI, Turboback, Tune), it will make much more power to the wheels than a stock X. After those mods, you're looking at close to 300-320 WHP, versus the stock Evo X,which is anywhere between 220-250 WHP, depending on the dyno.

Even with the mods, the RA would still be slightly cheaper than a new X, and you'd have one hell of a sleeper RA... if that's even possible.

I'm merely suggesting a cheaper alternative. I still like my Evo better, only because I can claim to own a legitimate one.

I agree with Yshen if you're looking at it from a cheaper way to make power alternative. But it'd be near impossible to get a Ralliart to handle like an X. With the power of the RA, getting more than the ~320 whp is hard to do on the stock turbo. Doing an X turbo swap can run pretty pricey as well.

I would love to make the switch. But I feel it would be such a hassle, and even more money lost than if I just bought the Evo X to begin with.

Bingo look at the video i posted in my build thread. JMS RA they built spanked evos lol. IT has alot of mods in there including cammed fp red aftermarket tubular manifold ALL AMS parts(intercooler, intercooler pipe intake) etc. Darn thing is sick fast for what it is and after riding in that and riding in some near stock evo X no comparison. Yes its cheaper do fix up the RA for sure next up for it is Clutch packs he said
