ok dont know if anyone is familar with the speedcircuit test pipe but it has a lil welded on bung piece so it doesnt get the CEL well after about 20 miles the CEL came on.. so my question is why is the CEL coming on?? i have a defouler! what if i add a $5 autozone defouler will that help or will it come back on cuz the o2 sensor is to far away. i dont know what to do!! any suggestions would help! the pic is what the test pipe looks like.. and u can tell the special welded bung!

 

First off, Did you check to see what code you threw??? My buddy has the same test pipe and has never had a problem.

is it true that if ur CEL stays on ur car can go into LIMP mode?? thats what i'm worried about!

 

no i'm not tuned.. jus have an accessport on the stock 91 oct map!

 

Connect the AP and check the code, you can also clear the code from the AP.

 

oh cool i ddnt know that!! but i mean it has to b cuz of te test pipe!! it was never on and then next day i had the test pipe on the cel came on!

 

check the code and clear it if it is nothing big. cobb disabled a lot of codes when they made their tunes.

 

ok it says P0420 (bank1) that mean the first o2 sensor the one on the dp ???

 

What map are you running? Cobb disables the code for Stage 2 type maps.

 

im runing the stock map or stage 0 map cuz im stock except my test pipe

 

then you will be getting the check engine light cause of it, you need to change the map so you dont get it.

there is no way of using the test pipe as the only mod and not throw the code. If you have an intake, TBE, you could run stage 2 and not get the CEL.

 

What is your engine management setup? i.e. cobb, openport 2.0 cable, none
