Idle Question!

Just a quick question for all the GSR guys! I'm on a stock evo x and when the car is fully warmed up it seems to idle at 650/600 rpm. This leaves me with little room for clutch error as I can barely hear the sound of the car engaging. Is this normal for the X or is there something wrong? It's not sputtering either. The clutch has no problem grabbing otherwise. Just can't hear the power transfer.

Is it possible I got a bad BP tank of gas?
Maybe I should try super and see what happens?
My oil isn't even at 750 miles yet either (still new car).
Leak somewhere? What do I check?

My friend suggested my clutch was slipping possibly, but when I fully depress it to the floor, the RPM shoots up for a second obviously then goes right down to the 650 range

Maybe check to see if the fuel pressure hose popped off? Seems to be a common problem, and is known for causing idle issues..

It's kind of nomal. Although I haven't found a fix besides a tune. Mine bounces between 600 and 700 when fully warmed up and the outside temp is over 75

Next time search more before posting. There are large threads about this issue mainly search under idle or idle issue

I'm not sure what that means. I have a six puck & a light flywheel so I need to hold rpms at 1500 or so if I don't want the motor to stall from a stop. You might have to adjust how you drive...
