hey guys - I had an RA for about a year, then decided to upgrade to the GSR. It's such a big improvement, I'm amazed at the handling.

it's bone stock (and i just realized i put this in the evo 1-9 forum, not the evo x forum-not sure how to move the post).
it's a huge difference from the RA - the handling, acceleration just make it a whole different beast. if i had known the difference was this huge for only 5-7K more than the sticker on the RA, I would have started with this.

yeah i was scared of the manual cuz i had never driven manual before. i'm proud to say i really got it down quickly though.
i was actually really scared of the power - the dealer floored it to 90 on a small road and i wanted to crawl back to the RA. then i got into the driver seat and realized the car is calm enough to drive as a DD.
i'm probably going to keep it stock for a long time, i use it as a DD, and i'm almost 30. i'm not one of those rich teenagers who can afford to flash it, watch it break, and not drive it for 2 weeks and just have mom pick me up after school.

You'll see alot of the evo owners are around their late 20's so you're not alone.

You'll get use to power and quick handling really fast, then you'll become thirsty for more power and allot of your time will be spent doin research for more parts and then before you know it you'll be blowing more money in the X. Welcome to the club. haha

Yeah, you can't even tell you're going that fast until a cop is behind you and giving you a speeding ticket.

i bet the stock phase lasts for 3 months max. you will get used to the power and or dirve a modded evo X and will need more. i respect your intentions, but ive been there done that for a few cars now. congrats on the new car and get some better pics!
if you dont mind me asking, where in B-more did you pick it up from? im looking for the exact same car but for a decent price....PM me if you need to.
