I bit the bullet and bought the 2-piece Race Ramps. They are super light and split in half so when your car is up you pull the ramp piece off and you can slide under the car from the sides without the ramps in the way. It actually makes a big difference if you are doing things like an exhaust or working around the wheel area.

No doubt those Race Ramps are nice, especially the two piece ones. I just didn't want to drop that much coin.

But wouldn't the OP still have the same problem? Or is there a way around this with the "Race Ramps"?

There's two different lengths of the low profile Race ramps (59" & 67"), as well as two kinds, one or two piece. The two piece ones let you take off the "ramp" portion for easier access from the sides of the car.

So yes it's not as easy to access from the sides sides of the car using my ramps...or any other "one piece" style ramp. The saving grace though is once up on my wooden ramps (or most other one piece ramps) I can easily get a jack & jack stands under the car and remove the ramps.

^^ Hah, that's too funny!

But you gotta admit, Darwin's ramps have a bit of character to 'em..

Thought the 1st unfinished pics looked a little too diy'er.. but after seeing them finished with handles, I think they look pretty damn nice.

So Jonny, do you have any recommendations on a RR setup for stock Evo X's? And for lowered Evo X's??

Our 56" and XT ramps for stock Evo's.

Same ramps supplemented with our Xtenders (which reduce the angle of approach to 6 degrees) for lowered Evo's.

Darwin's ramps do show good design and craftsmanship.

Darwin, these are awesome. You do a great job of thinking outside the box and forging your own path. As soon as my OEM battery dies, I am going to copy your mini battery setup. Thanks for sharing all your good ideas with us!

Very creative! I'm also surprised they don't move when you drive up on them.
