Gauge Pod Questions

I found this pod made by ATI and this is the only gauge pod I really would put in my car. But when I was looking at it I need to ask, do you have to drill a hole or cut a hole in you dashboard to run the wires? Or is there anyone that has this installed and what the best route is for the wires? Thanks in advance

There is a hole in the back you route the wires out and can feed them into that little plastic piece that pops out. The version they sell now looks just like the dash and can be screwed down or 3M taped down.

I don't get why the poorly fitting and poorly matching prototype is being shown when the actual product looks quite a bit better. That being said, I think the ATI dash pod for the GD STi is a huge improvement over this since it doesn't have all the extra plastic above the gauges giving the unit such an obnoxiously high reveal. Someone needs to make a tight fitting 55mm version!
