Need help!

My 2008 evolution gsr will not go into gear will turn on and stay in nuetral but will not go into gear like something is blocking it i tryed every gear the car only has 17,000 miles on it.
my friend recommened i look at my shifter cables. ive yet to work on my car seriously so i do not know where these are. Please help =[

I would take it to the dealership but sounds like a busted clutch to me. Can you put the car in gear when it's off? If so, try starting the car with the gear engaged. If the car starts but then lurches forward and stalls or just stalls altogether when you release the clutch pedal, then you have a busted clutch. I don't remember the exact way the car reacted, but that's what happened to me in another car.

I just put a act heavy duty clutch in there 4 months ago. When my cars clutch really died i was still able to put it in gear.

Everything got replaced clutch flywheel bearing.

Let us know what happened. One of my shifter cables snapped at the car wash. Hopefully it's something minor. GL

your shifter cables are loated on your transmissionthere should be two of them look on the top of the case

It is my clutch you guys are right only had 6,000 miles on it with no launches.
Gotta take pictures and send to act for a warranty.

Same thing happened to me on a Clutch Master Stage 3 Clutch. No launches and less than 5000 miles on it.

Same with me man...mine went out at 5100 miles. I had plenty of launches though. I started a special wall for myself in the shop.
