mitsu warranty is garbage
Mitsubishi will work on valid claims, been there done that (Aero Kit)! First of all, if your clutch is badly worn and you only have 3700k miles (granted your driving hasn't done the clutch in) they will replace it as long as it's under 10k miles. File an arbitration against them and fight it, more than likely you'll win as long as it's not your fault... You can't blame Mitsubishi here man, I totally see where their coming from, 3 out of 5 EVO driver totally trash their ride and expect Mitsubishi's dime to fix it lol!
P.S. I will say however, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out if someone has glazed/burnt their clutch and its very easy to do in a AWD turbo pushing 300hp.

EVO's have a warranty. Never heard of such a thing
. Not that I would have let any of those monkey *** techs anywhere near my car back when it was under warranty anyway.
Good luck on the clutch thing man but I can almost guarantee it isn't gonna happen bro.

^^ works. My Cat's died driving off of the lot i got a P0420 code. I turned it around to the dealer the next day, VERY next day to have them suspect me of modding the car. **** i bought the car at night anybody that does a midnight exhaust install is thug in my book. Not to mention the shop that opens at midnight as well.. I just told them i literally bought the car 12 hrs ago and after some conversation they fixed it.
call mitsu's customer service file a complaint. A case worker will call you and review your case. If they fail to resolve the issue ask for arbitration papers. Fill them out and send them in and you'll get a call within a couple days from a Rep. And the clutch is covered for 12k miles or the first 12 months. Been there done that already too.
From someone who has had several warranty claims honored with my X, Mitsu will warranty most valid claims.
If you have mods on the car when you bring it in, your asking for trouble.
Most of the time what I see are $hitty dealers that don't care...Find another dealer and/or contact mitsu corporate and explain your concerns. Document everything and you will be fine.
Mitsu has been screwed over the years by stupid kids that disconnect their WGA, blow the motor, and or do something else completely stupid then revert to stock to have Mitsu foot the bill. Pure BS, so they are very careful now days....wouldn't you be?
Mitsu will, in most valid cases, honor the warranty. Find a good dealer that's willing to stand by you.
I do not work for Mitsu and I've had my share of issues with them, but they are not as bad as people think.

The dealer I bought my car from wanted to charge me labor to do my fuel line recall because of my aftermarket uicp. I went to a different dealer and they did it no questions asked. I guess you just have to find the right one.

Two questions
Why go to arbitration? Why not just go straight to small claims?
I've done all the suggested stuff up to the point of arbitration/court and still only got them to drop my cost to $500 labor + $600 parts for a clutch after 3k miles. 100% stock, never launched, 100mi on the car before I bought it with signs of abuse from dealership (which was all documented by mitsu corp). That was 9 months ago. Any chance of recovering that money? I moved since them, and the dealership is about 1200 miles away. Is it between me and them, or me and mitsu corp?
