how often do you guys scrape your front lip?

when pulling in and out of driveways? mine was lowered about an inch front and rear and i found myself scrap my front lip (stock) about 3 times a week even though i always comes to a full complete stop before any speed bumps or driveway dips? this is the only thing holding me back of getting a carbon fiber front lip. how often do you guys scrap yours?

Scrap? Do you mean throw away or scratch? I haven't had any scratches on my front lip ....I have the aero kit (2008). My car isn't lowered yet but I go in at a angle on low dips....the only thing I lost was the rubber piece from the front of my car plowing through the snow a year ago back....

Solution: Approach them at an angle.

There are plenty of parking lot entrances/exits where no angle would save you. I've nearly scraped on parking spots that were on a hill! lol. I have Aero and am lowered .5" or so...I'd rip off the rubber lip once per month. I gave up and left it off. I haven't had a problem since.

If you intend to run something like the Aero kit on a lowered vehicle then you had better be more mindful than me. You simply can't park in a variety of places and have to keep the car on the street, back into every parking spot (to avoid the curb), etc.

My car isn't lowered and I've scraped it maybe 2-3 times (in about 2 months of ownership) on some lot entrances that dip down in the middle, like a small ditch. Very annoying.

uhm, yea, go at it at an angle. just slowing down alone does not help.

it's funny how some guys are scraping on stock height and some are not when their car is dumped , road issues or the driving style ?

Image if you have a aftermarket lip, splitter and you were dumped where almost tucking tire and then drive around the roads in L.A, assuming that's where you live since that's what it says where you're located. Ha!
