Replaced Shift Knob w/Pics
So I was lurking around on the net and decided to change up my stock knob finally. After talking to a friend, he suggested getting a counter-weight because it "felt better". I was pretty much sold on BLOX because of the pricing and all I can say is WOW. Best 50$ I ever spent. As we all know, the X has a notchy gearbox and this totally eliminated every one of those moments. First to second is flawless. No need to replace stock bushings or put a short throw on. Seriously if you are on stock.... replace it and you will be very happy. It weighs in @ 450g and just requires a little more effort to move, but the performance is unmatched. The only slight issue is the heat if you car is out baking in the summer sun. It goes away after about 2 minutes.
I picked mine up from w/free shipping:

I got the typeR because I also wanted to change it up from a ball. The site has the ball & typeR knobs coming in basic and polished.
Here are a few pics of mine installed:

LOL! Yeah I gotta figure out a better way to manage the phone charger, garmin charger, ipod charger, and aux cables. The radar detector shouldn't be an issue to mount.

looks great, although i think ill probably end up getting the neo finish one as im in the market for a shift knob as well, i had s skunk2 counterweight (440g) knob similar to this design on my type-s and it def did improve the shifts, felt as if it was going into gear itself. and yea its a pain in the *** though when its really cold or really hot so i just ended up having a sweatband in the car when it was unbearable lol
