Probably saying bye today...
not to sound queer or nothing but I would pay to see the vise job

OP, sell it and buy an VIII or IX. Less you will owe... smaller payments and still have an EVO
I'm in the same boat as you too op. I have a guy that put in a deposit on my Evo yesterday. I've done so much and spend so much time to my Evo. Now I have to let it go to get some stuff straighten out. I know I will probably pick another one up some time in the future.
This is why i will remain a single man for the rest of my years.
The problem with selling the Evo and trying to buy it back later is that you're going to buy a used performance car.
I've recently had to go through the same decision, and ultimately I decided to keep my Evo. The reason is that it's a car that puts a smile on my face every day I drive it. I've never had so much fun in a car, and enjoyed driving it (even in LA traffic). Take the car to the track or auto-x and you will know why I made the decision I did.
Good luck!

Just need to find someone like my wife who lets me spend my money however I want "Whatever makes you happy". Women like that DO exist
This! This was the whole reason I sold my VIII and bought a brand new X. I won't buy a used performance car ever again. Guys don't buy performance cars to lolligag in. They do hit boost and do drive them rough. I don't care who owns it. That is what it was built for, so therefor you will always have at least a little bit of abuse done to the car. Unless you like working on the car and dumping a bunch of money into it or it is a pure track car, I say used performance cars are for the birds.

Heh I saw an evo 8 for sale once that claimed the owner never went over 3500rpms.
Just cause they say it doesn't mean it's true.
I won't launch an evo (don't want to risk a ring gear / pinion breaking), but to claim not hitting boost, rpms, or driving it hard... pure lies.
