Regrets?
I don't regret NOT buying the MR, but I do wish we had the seats with the same material and I believe the door panels too.
I also don't regret NOT getting the SSS package however driving with halogens..... SUCKS monkey b*lls!!!! I just didn't want anything else that came with the SSS package.

For some reason, I've always wanted a flappy paddle gearbox though. Grew up driving manuals, and enjoyed them.. but always thought it would be nice to have control of shifting without dealing with a clutch pedal. Think I would've preferred getting the SST, but didn't feel the additional cost was worth it.. the 2010 SE, maybe.
So not counting the SE, I don't regret buying the GSR and probably wouldn't have regretted buying an MR either.. but, I had also considered buying a Ralliart for quite a while, and I'm almost certain I would've regretted buying that instead of an Evo.
Also, I don't really regret skipping the SSS package.. but really wish I would've had a choice of just buying the HID and projectors, cuz the halogens do suck.
Not MR seats. Mitsubishi sells an upgrade where they take off the cloth cover off the GSR seats and replace it with the leather. Includes door panels and center armrest cover. I think the heading you can get by just ordering them from Mitsu.

Do you guys with leather seats slide around a lot?
i have no use for the MR, everything is in vs the GSR, i would have throw out anyway...
But im sure the MR set up, /by the way it is really also GSR, just a little marketing twist on it for the US... which is known to be a label loving country/ makes a dd more relaxing.
i like the TC SST though as a daily driven car. If i ever will have another evo for DD, most likely will be the TC-SST optioned one. But the main EVo always will be manual.

If I would have known about how much of a weak link the MR tranny was, I would not have gotten it.
I love all the features of the MR, especially the upgraded suspension, but I don't like worrying about blowing up my $8k tranny everytime I go to the track.

I have yet to hear of a SST blowing up at the track. I've done thousands of miles at the track, no issues. Bradze, xMR, Jeremy, etc... all have a good chunk of track miles, no blown trannies. From what Jeremy and gunzo claim, this tranny is pretty bullet proof mechanical wise. It's the fluid, clutches, and programming that need a bit of help.
I'm thinking about it, I don't track my car anyways.
You are going to slide around like a **** on the Ralliart / dealer installed leather. That is the way the VIII/IX SSL leather was. Ever driven one? It is a waste of some of the best seats ever put in a production car. Just like the VIII/IX the Ralliart leather for the X is perforated but not grippy. In contrast the X suede/alcantara in the MR is extremely grippy. They are fantastic seat covers. If you want it done right find a reputable shop and go custom.
gsr vs mr
umm ill stick with my gsr thanks...
better suspension on the mr? who cares, everyone ends up changing their suspension anyway.
better rims - everyone changes their rims, and who likes having the same set as the next guy?
6 spd - i prefer a 5spd and from what i've read, they seem to be a little stronger the the 6spd. And i prefer a longer gear, then a short gear.
not to many other things are different.
