Ya but if i'm not driving it hard anyway I don't see a point yet. I'd like to be able to drive it hard first so I can feel the difference. It's been raining non-stop since I got the car. I'll take pics on Saturday.

It is fun to buy a new car. There was a Silver 08 with only 6k miles on the lot but I just couldn't resist the new one!

Anyone on here attend cars and coffee in Dallas? I'm yet to see an EVO up there.

Oh and thanks for the warm welcome!

Yep welcome to the dark side man. I know the feeling exactly. I came from a 97GT with an eaton blower and 4.10 gears, I too tried and did alot to make it handle (which I thought was really good at the time, much improved over stock) with bilstiens, lowering springs, and castor camber plates. I was took off the line by a stock evo 9 mr one day on the way into work and he went way faster into a corner than I would have ever considered. I moved to wisconsin from ohio where the mustang was my dd. The mustang even with snows would not cut it. I fell in love with the 10 when it came out and it still was not easy to get into an import from being a big ford guy with lots of ford friends, the mustang community was fun to be a part of. But the first drive I had in a gsr, all the bs that I believed soon faded, I now have a much broader appreciation for cars that actually perform. The evo in stock form dominates the most highly modified mustangs in the handling department. They are entirely differnt cars, both fun in their own right. But in all around perfomance the evo puts the mustang to shame. Mustangs are great for the 1/8 and 1/4, which I took mine to on a regular basis. The only thing about the 2.0 is that it is way more difficult to get that deep throaty exhaust, I have heard a few that do it justice like the ets v2. I would still love to own a vette though, I think that my mustang days are over after owning a evo.

Lets just say all the threads talking about how great the SST is are correct. I'm also almost 30 with a kid on the way and my wife wanted to be able to drive my car.

I have no problems letting other people drive the car because I know the SST will take care of them my 6 speed camaro on the other hand can kind of get away from ya.

When i got there they installed stage 1 93 and i pulled over on the way home and returned it to stock. 255 miles on car now.

You choose economy over stock?

I would leave it on the stage one tune regardless. Runs less rich and saves moregas to boot. And I rather leave on stock then economy.
