EVO X gas guage.

I just bought a 2010 Evo (used with 5K mile on it) and I top off the tank and the guage reads 3/4 full. Any insight on veteran evo owners. Im a new EVO owner. I upgraded from the Ralliart.

Thanks

Be sure your not running the vehicle while getting fuel, also shut vehicle off completly while filling up so no electronics are on. in some cases this will cause the gas guage to read incorrectly for a period of time untill car is driven or restarted.

unplug the battery for a few and hold the brakes until the car completely loses power. plug it back in and look at the gauge. worth a shot.

Turns out it was the float wrapped around the gas line in the tank. Tech line said it happened once before on an 08 evo. just for your fyi.
