Building up to a Fp Black

hey guys, I just have some questions about the Fp black turbo and maybe some input from people that have this turbo.
I just got my Evo in late July so I am just starting my build. I just want to do some bolt on modifications to the car so when i decide to get the Fp Black, I dont have to also buy the intercooler, IC pipes, exhaust, injectors, fuel rail, intake, fuel pump, ect.

I just want to make sure that the down pipe/o2 housing and the Upper IC pipping that I buy will fit the Fp Black. I dont want to double buy the same part just because it didnt fit the new turbo. Also any input on the mods that are necessary for the build and mods that you might think that are just wasting money. any input is appriciated.

Yes those parts will work because the black is made from a stock turbo so dimensions are the same. Fuel rail is a waste.

You need:
Fuel Pump
Injectors
Intake
UICP
Exhaust with test pipe
FMIC

I meant UICP, upper pipe is the one that sux, the lower is good.

No need for headstuds on pump gas. If going race gas or E85 with 30+psi then yeah but that would require a full build anyway. If you are planning on pump 93 25-28 psi then you will be fine.

thanks for the info. I was thinking of e85 but until i go to the track regularly i will just stick to 93 octane pump gas .
I would like to build the engine but not sure if it would be cost effective for the power i have in mind.

aronjaskim, i would love to run e85, but i dont think its common enough where i live to convert it in my daily driver. I just dont want to be stuck somewhere where they dont have e85 and be low on fuel. Do you have jugs at home just incase you run low?? lol

Maybe some locals can tell me where they sell it besides Gas City in the chicagoland area??

You can have two maps on your ecu. One for 93 and one for e85 and you can switch between them with the cruise control button. Read up.

Go here to find e85 :http://e85vehicles.com/e85-stations.html

The stock LICP on our cars flows pretty well so no need to change it unless you to.

So when you upgrade to a Fp black, do you send in your stocker or you just a completley new turbo from forced performance??

You can do either one I believe...

You can also plan on sending your stock block to the machine shop shortly after bolting on the Black

On a serious note, you may want to add a clutch to your mod list. I guess it all depends on how much boost you are planning on running.
