I always drove my IX during the winter (lived in Minnesota at the time) and it was a blast; silly to own an Evo and NOT drive it through the winter. Get a good set of snow tires (I had and loved the Hankook W300 Icebears) and you'll be splattering the windshields of 4x4's with snow and slush

If I was gonna store my car in the winter, I would have kept my M3 or bought another RWD sports car.

Dunlop WinterSport 3D's FTW!
couldnt have said it better myself

I plan on driving my ralliart in the winter too. I have some new all season Pirelli p zero nero. I will see how they do. If they don't do good then I may look at getting a winter beater. For next year.

I drove it last year. It was a lot of fun with my Blizzak snow tires.

This year I have a 97 SH Prelude to drive around in the winter. My Evo is going to take a break.

Last winter:

how can you NOT drive it in the snow? 80% of the reason why i buy these cars is to have fun year around.

Available @ Sears via special order 4-7 business days. Do not go to the physical store to order. They will not honor their online prices. I was quoted @ 961 for the whole shebang. I mentioned about the Online Store offering cheaper and they said to save money get it @ the Sears Online store and pay for the whole shebang there. Then the tires will be shipped to the physical sears auto center location and the installation must be done for the online pricing. The kid at the counter was pretty cool and mentioned that this is how the auto center loses money because of the online pricing and the two hates each others guts.

So I called the Online Center and I got a quote for $740 flat to the tires, sensors, installation, balancing. Plus they are being shipped once again to the physical auto center location and they must honor the purchase + installations. Saved 220$

Pretty reasonable fee I payed I think. And if anything happens. The place is just 5 miles down the road as opposed to shipping crap back and forth

I'll be driving mine in good old upstate NY winter. Drove my IX with blizzaks in the winter, this will be my first year for the X in the winter, but also with Blizzaks, should be a blast... Salt is a pain in the @$$ tho. Make sure there's a good coat of wax on the car before winter and anytime it warms up above freezing try to wash her off to get as much salt off as you can, underneath as well and it'll survive just fine.
