no, just tighten it right the first time. leave your under tray on. why would you take it off? loss of Aero and Dirty enginebay?

BTW leaving the undertray off for a few days/weeks is one thing, off permanently is another. After talking with some of the techs that replaced the assessory pullies on the Evo X MR that ran last spring's one lap event, they mentioned that the reason the pullies were worn out was because rocks and other debris were getting kicked up into the belt while driving which accelerated wear rapidly. Possibly the center area can be left off without too much worry but the two side sections are critical to keep the belts clear from wear.

Because in reality nothing fits as well as stock! doing it right the first time is defiantly key! but even then there is a possibility of having something pop off or become lose over time! if your car is a daily driver, the little loss of aero from removing your under tray should not be of concern! people have mixed feelings about removing their under tray. I can only speak from my experience. I have had no negative issues what so ever from removing it. I defiantly dont miss having to take it off and put back on every time I need to do maintenance on my car!

Don't listen to max4rw- the undertray on the CT9A was a ***** to take off and reinstall (I should know as I did it on the side of the road four times one weekend). The undertray on your car is much easier to deal with.

Aside from the above, remember that when Mitsu was designing your car, the engineers and bean counters got into a fight about that very undertray. At the end of the day the engineers won (the value of having the undertray in place outweighed the cost).
