New Evo X Owner! (Photoshoot inside!)

Greetings!

I recently purchased a 2008 Octane Blue Evo X w/ SSS. It is an absolute blast to drive and I couldn't be happier with it. The previous owner installed a boost gauge, RA mudflaps, and put a K&N drop in filter in the car, but other than that it is stock. My brother and I installed the badging on the front grill.

So here she is!

And some photos with my brother's 2006 STi

Hope you enjoyed the pics! I am happy to be a part of the community. Let me know what you think.

When buying cars, I prefer buying them that are completely stock or very close to stock. Anyways, nice Evo. How much did you pay for it?

Well, first I am going to get a catback and then take it to Buschur's for a tune, that is next summer.

Long term I have 3 choices that I am torn between:
1. Full bolt-on stock turbo w/ tune - about 350 whp give or take
2. Upgrade to FP Green/Red/Black with supporting mods
3. Upgrade to AMS or ETS style turbo kit

I know I want to stay on pump 93, and I don't want to buy parts that will just be swapped out later so I have to find a goal and stick with it. I just can't decide... any helpful insights?

Very nice! I wish you the best of luck, let me know how an X compares to your IX when you finally get it

Thanks! I agree with you, the best part is making the car yours and that is easier to do with a stock car. It had 14,600 miles on the odo when I got it. Picked it up for 26.5k with 2 sets of tires. The guy I got it from took excellent care of the car, it was in mint condition.

Thanks a lot guys! Any suggestions are welcome!

Awesome car Kevin, we have to meet up one day in FSB and talk Evo. You'll have to bring me for a ride once you have it here.

Love that STI! I'm a hardcore Suby guy, and had been looking for a clean low miled 06 STI for almost a year when I finally "settled" on a new Evo 10. Yes I know the Evo X is by far the better and more sophisticated performer, but the STI just has a feel to it that I always loved. Maybe it's the unrefined and flawed but raw nature of it. Plus the way they sound with a good exhaust!

Anyways congrats on the 10! Great color choice!

Congrats on the purchase. Interested in what you finally decide to do on modding your car.
