Made the Jump
Hello to the Evo X crowd, well I have finally made the jump. I sold my VIII back to the dealership for 15K, cause that is what I needed to pay off my truck. So they cut me a check for that, and now from the same dealership I picked up my new car a 2010 PB X MR. I am totally stoked right now, didn't take any pics cause it was dark by the time everthing was said and done. thing is gorgeous love it. got it for 34K put 1000 down on it and got the 2000 cash back, so not too shabby, especially since A Mitsubishi Dealership bought my car For the KBB private sale price. still getting use to though I keep reaching for the clutch pedal and the gearshift when I am driving lol.

I too reach for the clutch and currently rely on the shifter for shifting in the tight city side streets. You sometimes can't hand over hand and paddle down at the same time at slower speeds. If you're used to driving manual in the city, you'll need to try: ASC one off, sport mode, and manual mode. It's the closest setting to simulate manual without pissing you off. Normal mode will drive you CRAZY in stop go situations, and ASC on will make you even madder on tight turns.

The General Manager of the dealer ship had been driving it cause it had been on the lot for more than 8 months, so it had 1100 miles on it. the MSRP of that car was 40K, they were selling it for 38K, and the with the miles on it they dropped it some more, we put 1K down on it, and the the 2K rebate, and only 3.14 APR so it was a pretty darn good deal at least I think so.
we were originally looking at a OB SE that they had, but it only had 3 miles on it,asking 38K, and they weren't gonna probably budge too much on the price, I am not the best negotiator but I worked enough magic to get the MR which I am extremely pleased about. If I didn't have to worry about my wife driving I would have gotten the GSR, cause if I get back in the military like I am looking to, and I get deployed she needs to be able to drive it and she doesn't drive stick, now I know some will say ask why I let her drive it, or some will say teach her to drive stick, but I don't think I could handle teaching her.
will post some pics up when I get home, I am currently at work so
I have plans for it, mostly cosmetic stuff, but it is gonna stay stock for quite awhile, cause gotta keep the warranties and all, and also that is part of why I upgraded cause I had stuff done to my VIII and there was stuff broke on it that needed fixing, and with me working night shift and sleeping during the day I just did not have any time to fix it especially since it was my DD, as is the MR is now. and when the warranties and all go away, my power goal is just to get it over the 300whp mark, and then leave it alone.

yeah I was pretty happy that I made out with that deal too, and yeah I know most of us are picky, believe I looked at it for a bit before making final decision, and drove it a bit. it is a very nice car. again I will post pictures when I get home.
