Ordered my EVO today

After months of perusing everyone's posts on here I finally bit the bullet and put a deposit down on a 2011 WW GSR Apparently one with the sun and leather, navi, and sight & sound did not exist in the states yet so mine is on a slow boat from Japan. They said it should be here in March but either way. To give you a little back ground on myself I previously had a 95 Talon TSi AWD, followed by a 2004 SRT-4 and then due to a series of unfortunate events I have been driving a 2007 Camry for the last year so I am pumped to get back into something with forced induction, and becoming a part of this community.

Nice man congrats!

I went from a 92 TSi full 6bolt/16g evoIII build to a couple of honda's/acuras (due to working for honda) but after changing my job to a software corp I eventually went back to my Mitsu roots!

Nice choice. While it's on the boat (I had to wait for this as well), decide on tires blizzack ws60 or all season Continental DWS, find a good clear bra installer, and order an exhaust. If I were you I would go ahead and order these now to get in on the Christmas pricing some of the vendors are doing...

O-ya, forgot... you will definitely want to pickup Weathertech floor mats, and might as well grab a Perrin 2" antenna too. The Weathertech model number for black front liner is 442231. The best deal I found on the front mats a month ago was around $115.00 I found them recently for approx 88.00 at autopartsdealer .com

Thanks for the advice. Defiantly going with blizzacks and getting some new rims for the summer while I'm at it. I actually ordered mine from the same dealer you did, they gave me a deal that nobody else could touch.

I got a great deal too. If I had to do it again I would of asked for them to swap my tires for me... might of been pushing it a bit, but you might give it a try. I was thinking about going with the blizzacks, but ended up getting dws instead. The cheapest I could find the blizzacks for are here in KC, cheaper than tirerack. Catch is you have to let them install, and use a Firestone CC, and it's a mail in rebate. If you're interested PM me and I can get you the contact info. If you can get the dealer to install for free then tirerack will be your best price. If it's snowing when you pickup the car you won't be able to pull out of their parking lot anyway.

fronts only, but I ordered the rears from a different company for $68 shipped.. so I ended up with both front and rear for a great price, .... Christmas deals.

I second the 3m bra. This is the time (when its brand new) to do all that preventative stuff. I would shop around for a good set of mud guards too. I bought rally armour.

How do you like them so far? I'm undecided on these. I've read that some people have installed the RA mudflaps, and continued to have rock chips in the same area.

I think they are good flaps however its silly to think they are going to single handedly eliminate all possibility of rock chips. Even though I have the flaps I will be sending my car in later this week for a little more 3m work. My focus is going to be on the rear doors in front of the wheels where the body flairs out.

The good thing about the RA flaps is that they attach to existing body hardware (no holes to drill) and they stick out about an inch past the wheel well.

I dont like the way they look huge. I wish they made a half size version. All the install video I've seen they show people putting holes in the fender well.
