My evo

When I drive my evo everyday, sometimes there's a day that I don't really feel the power of my car or it just feels like a regular car..So I usually give my evo a week off and drive my other car. After a week, the power of my car feels like it's there again, feels quick again cuz I got used to my other car..

and the point of this thread is? haha

what I always found to be the most different was the braking

precision steering would be second...power is nothing crazy compared to a lot of current vehicles

When I first bought my car I had never been in a turboed car. It felt so amazingly fast. Slowly you get used to it and it doesn't feel as fast. That's why you mod it to make it feel fast again.

I went on a trip to alaska for 3 weeks. Didn't drive anything at all for the whole time. When I got back and drove my car holy cow it felt so fast again.

Yes - all in your head. After a week or two it doesn't have that same kick as the day you first drove it, because you got used to how it feels.

Either that or there's something wrong - haha. But most likely what everyone else has said.

Alright, so I've been driving a Mazda all this week and wondering if I'll have the same feeling towards my Evo, (she has been in the shop) and well frankly I miss the awd turbo and everything about it.
I'll post later tomorrow when o get her back if I have those feelings or if it's just in your head

You need MOARRRR Power!! It's all in your head. You just get used to the power. My E60 M5 is fast but after a while you get used to it. Then I'll be away from it for a few days and then when I get into it, it feels like a rocket ship

I used to have an EvoVIII, a G35, and a slow truck. I definitely know what you mean about weaning yourself off the power for a week, then coming back to it.

On that note, now that I only got my X, ill have to settle for using my accessport to flash my ecu back to stock power once and a while.

lol I used to do this with my 240sx. Only I'd turn down the boost controller from 14psi to 7psi. It was a night and day difference, but I have to say the car was still quick and it seemed a bit smoother at 7psi .

Its all in your head dude. Your just getting used to the power.
