Apex Silver or Phantom Black Pearl?
The PB is amazing when it's clean, but a pain to keep that way. Also the rock chips in the paint are really noticeable. My hood already looks pretty beat up after only 20k miles of daily driving. If I had to go back and choose again I would have gone with the the AS between the two colors you've decided between. At the time when I bought mine all they had was PB or GG and I couldn't leave without one so I chose PB. Second one I tried to talk the wife into OB, but she wanted WW ever since I had my '09 WW Ralliart.
My choices are
OB > WW > AS > PB > RR > RG > GG

Like I said in a previous post you cant go wrong with either color, or any color they offer, on the X. What sold me on the PB is the depth of the color. Depending on the way the sun hits the surface or your viewing angle it can range from deep black to a charcoal or dark grey. There is a ton of gold flake in it and it truly is a premium color especially when polished.
I would avoid the black at all costs... I've had a black Merc and Mustang. both look great only after being detailed. If you take your car to the car wash expect swirl marks after it being rubbed by the old rags they use to dry the car. The silver color is exceptionally low maintenance.
black gets soooo dirty all the time. After I wash mine 30 minutes later it's dirty again and it shows. So hard to keep clean. Silver wont do that as much.Th black looks AWESOME clean but doesnt stay that way for long.
Heres my car the PB has orange flake in it which looks really cool when the sun hits it these photos were taken with my phone so the quality might not be the best but you'll get the idea. Get what color you think looks best lol.

I was told when I first posted pics of my PB 10 that it'll be the last time it'll be that clean and they were right. I went from having 2 silver WRXs and a black MS3, to the Evo and I wish I had gone back to Silver. Silver doesn't show dirt as much, and the car seems to have a cleaner, leaner, and crisper look.
This is just before my area got bombarded in what has seem to be nonstop cold and rain, and now snow. Haven't washed her in 3 months

I honestly went with the Apex Silver because not only did I think it looked good, but it's easy to keep clean and you scratches/swirls are very hard to see on it. Either color you'll be satisfied with. It's a damn Evo X. They're just that SEXY!
