Anyone priced out the cost from Mitsubishi for a new 2008 Evo X motor, or bought a good used longblock Evo X motor? I know these motors are proving pretty strong, and raced on the stock longblock for a while now, but just in case they throw a rod, what's the cost? Thanks.

 

I've seen 3-5K for a used.

 

Used long blocks were at least 4k when I looked. I ended up just buying a new shortblock for about 2600 and went that route.

Longblocks are not in abundance and are pricey.
