Evo X MR Trashed

Hey guys today was interesting. i went to school to find my friends evo X mr sitting on it brake rotors without wheels and i noticed his lip was gone and the hood was open . I called my friend and the police. The police have cideos of it happening. after a few hours of talking to police and insurance the flatbed arrives and they inform us that they were going to drag the car onto it without tires...i told my friend i would find him spare tires. we used his spare my spare and with the help of two of our friends we were able to ge tthe car on 4 spares and rolled up onto the flat bed. And in the news another local school had to hondas stolen and they were both stripped for parts, it seems that there are a few skilled thieves that are going after performance cars
Pictures below

Id liek to thank some people who helped get this car on tires and off the ground:

Erkel (E-spec)
Swygar ( not sure if he is a member here but he just bought an 8 so he will become one)
and the random people who helped with what they could

items stolen:
4 bbs mr rims with Michelin all season tires
carbon fiber radiator cover
carbon fiber front lip
cobb AP

Items broken:

They cut the battery terminal
They brok his hks ssk BOV
broke his maf sensor trying to rip out the intake

UPDATE

ok so after insurance paid my friend he made about 3k on the whole ordeal.

he replaced his rims with advan rz's or Rs's i cant remeber which
he also will b installing a jun body kit soon
and his car was fixed at his friends shop now hes going to go to ivey i believe for a tune

Is that an overnight parking lot or a daily commuter lot? Because holy crap if they did it during the day while school was in session!

Probably was not a random target of opportunity, willing to bet that the culprit was a fellow schoolmate that likely saw your buddies car daily and may have ditched class with a buddy or two with a truck. The whole thing was likely over in 15 mins.

Keep an eye out on your local craigslist, or a set of MR wheels on a car they shouldn't belong on. These guys aren't typically dumb enough to sport the goods they've stolen themselves, likely will be sold to an unwitting buyer.

Also, this is what happens when you replace live security guards with cameras...

trust me on this - wheel locks are useless. i've seen multi-tools (basically a socket lined with a ton of retractable pins inside) that can fit into any shape and turn any wheel lock. they'll make the process a bit more painful, but like someone else said - 15 minutes was all it took.

on another note, maybe i missed it, but it doesn't look like any windows were smashed. how were they able to get under the hood?
