Look at the Evo IX. It has been out of production for 6 years. You can still get parts easily. Manufacturers still make money on parts . Doesn't really cost them anything either. In other words, there will be parts around for quite some time. Remember that doesn't make the parts, other companies do.

If I am not mistaken, there is a law that states all USDM vehicles have to have OEM replacement parts available for 10 years.

Well I could be wrong, but they still make OEM Mitsubishi Parts for DSM's so I don't see the need to worry about something like that.

If they still have the cars in Japan, they'll have the parts

ill agree with a lot of this. im not so sure about 10 years but they do have to keep OEM parts for a car 5-any given number of years after the make of the car, and mitsu doesnt have to have OEM parts, others make the parts we want or need.

Yes. It is a U.S. Law that Manufacturers must supply parts for a model for atleast10 years after production ends.

Considering how many of these end up crashed. Parts forever.

Unlike my previous German vehicles, aftermarket parts are often less expensive (at least as far as wear items go).

It's an Evo, not a Tucker. Hell, you can still easily get parts for crap boxes from the 1980's.

Its not called a Lancer Evolution for nothing. Probably at least 80% of the car is pure Lancer and for the other 20% that makes it a Evo, many people replace those parts with aftermarket, anyway . Don't worry, be happy.
