... Well in the end of things, your car is VERY WELL DONE. You've got a great setup and should be proud. Though certain events remain unfavorable, the end result looks worth it. In my years of experience, 'car stuff' never comes easy.

Also, as a point of reference, know who you are buying from. Ask how they package their items. When the goods arrive, ALWAYS open it while the shipping/freight company is still present. If anything appears unfavorable, you have an immediate window to take back what you have and get something better. Make sure to ship where you will be present when the items arrive. Shipping to body shops can be nice and easy, but can also be a pain if items come in damaged. There is no way to tell if they improperly handled your parts or if the shipping company did.

*Update*
C-West USA is no more

Hello,

I'm sorry to say that the once C-west USA is no longer operational. Dynamic Autosports has acquired the last of it's inventory as just that. Inventory. I will be happy to forward this email to GT Motorsports (C-west) in Japan. I'm sorry for any inconvenience that the former company in charge may have caused. Unfortunately we will not be able to mediate the situation. I would recommend sending any information to Japanese manufacture.

Best Regards,

Adrian

Ahhh passing the buck to the new owner... which is in Japan... great... sorry dude, but I think this is a lost cause. I really do feel your pain when it comes to CF and disappointed when the item is sub par https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...sword-jdm.html... sigh, I think I'm definitely not buying any CF anymore... too expensive and if its made poorly, well this and my thread is the end result

That sucks. None the less though, your car looks awesome! I know it did take a lot of extra effort to make it the way you want it but it was worth it IMO. Looks just amazing.

dayjob Carbon Fiber QC guy here.
The pitting business like in pics 4,5,and 6 are caused by dirty tools. in the radius area around the vents, most specifically pic 6, mixing /applying the resin too fast can leave air bubbles.
The marcels (weave orientation warping) like most notably in pic 4 is mostly from the fabric supplier. Looks like crap, I agree. that's a material supplier QC slip, someone not paying attention as the sheet gets rolled up shipping and recieving only get a complete roll, and won't unroll all xxxfeet of it , and the finals guy probably made a "close enough" call, or the boss gave him a hard time that day? The warping around the ducts looks pretty normal (except the resin rich area on pic 6 right on the inside radius of that cutout. That funky warp was workmanship error pulling and stretching too hard to make it fit.
Its sad when you can point this stuff out and identify the cause.
Were it my company, I'd sell it at slight discount to a customer who wanted to paint it, since its not a structural defect. But, if it got out like that for full price, I'd exchange it on the spot at the customer's request.
Sorry man for your trouble, but you did get a cool lookin paint job to take care of it.

Thanks for the kind words folks, my lawyer is a tenacious son of a *****, that's why I like him. He sent a letter to C-West's parent company in Japan, let's see what happens.

Life goes on, and lesson learned, but I would still like atleast an apology from them.
