I used to think that when I lived in attached units but the good thing is that it was basically a post-college style neighborhood (so everyone was still really young).

I won't have that problem now because my work doesn't really start until 10am or later.

My WRX when started in the garage would rattle all the dishes in my cabinets. My Evo is pretty loud as well but not quit where the WRX is. I leave the house at 7:30am so most people are up, if not time to get up!!!

I did have a neighbor tell me a couple years ago that when she heard my car she knew it was time for her to get up for work. Hehehe

When I was living at home, my room was the one over the garage so I would hear every car start/door opening and closing etc etc at 5am...well before I had to wake up.

Eventually got used to it but it's a bit annoying.

Lmfao I cringe when I first turn the key, then I smile ear to ear cause my sh@t sounds tough. I ease out the driveway and crawl down my street till I'm at least a half mile away. Lol then all hell breaks loose. Ets v2, testpipe and downpipe ftmfw.

As long as you are making an effort to do it as quietly as possible, then I give you props and people really can't say anything about it.

There used to be a kid in my neighborhood with the ****tiest/ricey-est of civics which by extension means he had an obnoxious exhaust. He TRIED to make it sound loud for personal pride, everyday.

That guy...well, **** that guy.

I only notice how loud my exhaust is when driving through the city (Philly Area) or through traffic tunnels.....its like my exhaust drowns out the sound of everyone elses around me...and I went for the quiet mini mufflers (no cat) turbo back dual exhaust from Ultimate Racing

I had 3" testpipe with a 4" bellmouth downpipe on my WRX....and I started my car at around 415am....yeah the neighbors hated me. I tried to creep out so as to not be as obnoxious.

The Evo is nice and quiet....for now. Too tame.

Nice. I did a few track runs with an open downpipe...THAT was ungodly. Don't think I'll even to a dump pipe on the Evo..somethings are too loud even for me.

I just installed an exhaust as well, and as much as love it, I can see how my neighbors will start to hate me lol. My apartment complex has a covered parking garage and the low tones of the exhaust reverberate inside. I set off one specific car's alarm every time I drive by. If there are people in the garage, they do this to me:
