Congrats, I did the same thing back in 2002. I bought a 02 Camaro back then. All I could think of was getting home and modding my new car.

Alright so after 2 months of waiting to drive this thing, I am now a week away!

Seems like I'll be busy too got a few parts to slap on it already. Having 2 months to shop around and get parts ordered is great. Here is the list so far, Boy does the wife hate me.

AMS intake
AMS downpipe
ETS Testpipe
ETS V2 Quiet catback
Cobb AP
AEM x-wifi UEGO
Grimmspeed 3 port EBCS
Works Short shifter with bushings

And of corse while I am home I have to get the windows tinted and throw on a clear bra.

Congrats! Cant believe how many evo's are on that lot. You can't find one new one in the bay area...at least while I was looking.

Just a tip for the windows, make sure they install moleskin or felt on the inside rubber liner. I didn't get it and in the sun light you can see some light scratching...only been on 4 weeks.

I remember how anxious I was the week before my leave from Iraq, enjoy it!

That has to be an awesome experience, buying a car at length.

I thought buying a car 200 miles away was a pain just due to the drive.

I'm in the same boat! Bought a MR on a 2 week leave before this deployment and now all I do is think about what mods I'm going to do when I go on RR. Oh and of course enjoy the pics the wife sends....

First off, thank you for your service to our country. Secondly, you must have nuts of steel to buy a car from 8,000 miles away, that could be a record!

So I am now home, after 4 days of driving around in the new ride I am more in love then ever before!

This thing rocks kids love it, wife loves it.

Couldnt even wait a week before throwing some of the parts on tho

Got her tinted, installed ETS V2 quiet catback, AMS intake, TWM phantom hybrid shift knob (knob is bad ***), and cobb AP.

Parts still waiting install AMS widemouth DP, ETS test pipe, AEM Xifi UEGO wideband, and the rest of my works short shifter kit (under hood bushings are installed already)

I gotta grab some ramps to finish the exhaust pain in the *** to do without. And Im kinda thinking I'll wait to do DP as so far from what I've read here is its a pain in the *** to get some of the bolts out. I dont want any down time trying to get bolts extracted or what have you.
Only another 2 weeks of driving this thing around before I head back to Afghanistan.
Rest of the mods will have to wait for my next vacation in 6 months

shouldn't be too bad if you bought it brand now. Just get long extensions and a pivoting ratchet head and you should be fine

I'd love to hear a video clip of your exhaust when you get the test pipe on. The few clips of the ETS v2 quiet on youtube aren't very good quality. Thanks for serving btw.
