Need advice

So I went to my dealership to enquire about the blue fuel relays.

I asked him about it because my car is having hard turn overs on cold starts.

He said that I would need to bring it in and leave it over night to have it looked at.

When I asked about the blue relays getting replaced he got defensive and said that the TSB I was talking about didn't apply to the Evo. I produced the TSB and showed him. He gave me some story about the green relays in there not being faulty. I told him otherwise. I the asked him straight up "Am I going to get dicked around for these parts covered under warrenty or is is simpler for me to just order the relays and pay the 50 bucks it's going to cost me to replace them". He replied by saying "Oh you don't want to do that it will void your warrenty" I then asked " By replacing a OEM part that's faulty with a OEM part from Mitsubishi?" and he didn't have a response.

Now my question is...

No Mitsubishi service center near me seems to know what there doing...They all have given me hard times, Broken/incorrectly Installed, scratched and tried to charge me more then normal on my car.

Is it worth my while to say F mitsubishi warrenty and just do all my own maintance? I have a 2010 MR and I'm worried about my SST failing on me and then having to go there and then telling me to go F myself.

I'd go to a different dealership.

Sounds like a bunch of incompetent jerks at your current one.

Nothing will happen to your warranty. Just replace the fuel pump relay with a blue one. Ironically, the TSB doesn't actually cover that specific relay lol. There would be no way for the dealer to know that you put in a blue one. Worst case scenario you switch back in the original one. The day I brought my car home from the stealership I put a blue on in for peace of mind.

I suggest you find a different stealership to go to. That one clearly employs incompetent individuals.

You shouldn't have to pay $50 or even $5 for that matter to replace faulty OEM parts. I would call MMNA and file a complaint about that dealership and the person you spoke with. I would also drive the extra miles to find a dealership that actually appreciates your business and where you can have your service done.

Buy the relay yourself and put it in. JNZ and SSP should still sell them. What engine oil are you using? 0w should help with cold starts. Also try new spark plugs meant for colder start ups. The dealer will keep you car overnight and charge you out the *** and not fix anything. Its Mitsubishi. Do you think they actually pay top dollar to employ smart people?

Pony up, call SSP and get their relay pack and solve your problem, never look back.
