Just a few pics of the new set up

Some blackberry pics of the new set up. Been meaning to post these for a while. Did the gauge install a while back, finally transferred the pics. Also included a pic of my SST filter, had just over 25K miles when changed.

A big thanks to Clipse3GT for his distribution block write-up, followed it to the letter ... perfect!

Pod fitment was pretty good overall, couple of small gaps but no biggie, probably wouldn't notice if you weren't looking for it.

Do these gauge pods affect the airbags up there at all?

If not, I definitely want!

How did you get the Rexpeed pod to fit? After I got mine it went straight into the trash; the fitment was sooooo horrible it would have never looked legit. It was so wavy it wasnt even straight and could not get it to fit....................unfortunately, I have thrown away 3 of their peices due to such poor fitment. prolly wont waste anymore of my money at that site.

+1. I purchased their CF gauge pod and into the trash it went. OP's pod fitment looks good though.

Thanks again, it turned out better than expected. I heard some of the horror stories about fitment of the rexpeed pod, i really didn't want to wait for the AMI customs pod, so I purchased and hoped for the best. I have to say the fit wasn't perfect ... but it was damn close, only a couple of spots with a small gap. I used 3M super adhesive glue and just took my time bonding the pod to the pillar. Would I rather have the AMI pod? Yes. But this turned out nicer than expected ... so I think I will leave it, no need to upgrade for now.

i really didn't want to wait for the AMI customs pod,
I don't think you could have gotten one right now even if you wanted. I emailed an inquiry about one last week, and they replied by saying they are not currently being made

This is quoted from the e-mail:
AMI CUSTOMS to me
show details Jun 10 (5 days ago)

They are currently not being made at this time. Thanks

Andrew

I am rocking the same pod as you have now though, and all in all for the price the fitment is pretty good. Nice choice

i have the ami custom pod. it was expensive it is very nice and well made. it isn't a surprise that he isn't making them anymore or just taking a break. he got super backed up. i ended up waiting over 4 months for mine. it was worth the wait though.

Thanks for the heads up; I was planning on purchasing the CF pod but now I will wait for something better.
