2 Baby seats in the back?

Well within the next year my wife and I will be planning our 2nd child. I have been trolling the board for a while now and a question popped into my head as we started talking more about another kid. Will my dream of owning a Evo be realized if I can't fit two car seats in it while driving? I'm 6'1" and a car seat would have to fit behind me to take the children to the babysitters in the mornings. Can someone verify whether two baby seats fit in the back and still have a human being driving the car? Thanks!!

the back seats are actually quite big, you should fit 2 no problem + you driving and a passenger up front with ease

You'll be fine. Put the infant seat on the passenger side and the toddler seat on the driver side. They'll fit comfortably.

What about the trunk space? The X trunk is pretty tight with the battery being back there.

I have two children and I'm 5'11" with two car seats in the back. We have a recaro for my son who sits behind the passenger (my wife is 5'8") and with plenty of room for his feet still and I have my daughter behind me in one of those seats that detaches from the base and can be put into a stroller with no problem.

Edit: The Evo is our only car atm so we make it work. Only thing that sucks is it isn't great for getting groceries with it's tiny trunk.

Yeah you can def fit 2 car seats back there, but should look into the Recaro ones lol. My wife and I are planning on a kid soon. The only thing that she said she wouldn't want in my car is a harness bar but I guess that I can live with that.

Thanks for the replies. I never even thought of the trunk space. It shouldn't be an issue though. The Evo won't be our travel car, we have a VW Jetta TDI for that (plenty of trunk space). As long as I can take them to the sitter!

I've rocked both my Recaro baby seats in the back, kids had plenty of room.

That looks so awesome. Recaro seats in the front and back. I almost want to have a couple kids so I can buy those. Ok, not really.. but it does look cool.

I am 6'2" and have an infant seat (which is bigger) and a toddler seat in the back with no issues. I actually have more room in my Evo than I did in my 4 door Wrangler.
