Im really liking my car...wow
I love everything about my 2011 GSR:
To me the shifter feels great, I like the way it feels from gate to gate.
The MPG spanks my RX8s 16mpg.
The room in this thing is very good for 4.
The AWD is simply awesome, never owned a car with AWD.
The attention it gets makes me feel like a "rock star"
Seems plenty sp00ky fast even bone stock.
I like the way it feels durable/rugged like it wont fall apart easily (I hope, never owned a Mitsubishi before)
The way it handles simply owns!
Are there any downsides? I am still in the "honeymoon" stage
Oh my insurance didnt go up at all with the switch to a new car! Cant beat that!

that's the way it should feel! and yes you will always attract attention, whether good or bad lol
the only downside is that soon it will feel slow and you're gonna have to come with moola for mods!
I also traded in the wife's Eclipse for the Evo and the insurance went up 4 bucks

I don't know why he would be congested now that he owns an Evo?
Anyway, congrats. I guess you see now that you made the right choice and are not second guessing. The only thing I could see is that like the OP said, the car will feel slow soon. The X stock is not very fast unfortunately and you will start wanting more. And you will prolly want new wheels eventually and then new suspension parts to complement the wheels, and well you see where I'm going with this. Word of advise: STAY OUT OF THE SHOW AND SHINE THREADS!!!

As far as attracting attention...well some of it is bad. Alot of people want to race, clearly because we drive a car that is a legendary machine. If they beat an EVO, think of how it will swell their insecure pride
I have little desire to race anyone at this point (at least on the public roads), Ive seen too much when I was a nurse at a Lev 2 trauma center. What I do enjoy is sort of challenging myself. What I mean is becomming a better driver and becomming more familiar with the car/how it handles/what it can do etc. but I dont want to be the reason anyone (even someone acting idiotiotic in the car next to me) decides to take risks of their own life and those around them on the road and pedestrians. I just laugh when they get all aggressive on the road and try to goad me into a race....it's just not worth the potential down sides. That said, this is one fun machine!!! The heck with Zoom zoom....Viva La EVO!!
