Also - TurboXs is working on getting set up as a forum merchant, so they may be able to comment on their pricing in the future.

Good, now I can ask them why they duped my old style 3.0" intercooler kit... Then Mishimoto duped the intercooler after TurboXs... Each one using cheaper and cheaper cores lol. I think there intercooler weigh 15lbs vs my intercooler that weighs 25lbs haha.

TurboXS also duped the AMS downpipe... Great Company.....

This may be the reason their parts are so cheap. They have no R&D. Just copy design, verify it fits, and ship it out. There are a lot of over-seas companies that do this.

It is hurting the ones that actually do the R&D: ETS, Do-Luck, Voltex, Ralliart, AMS, etc etc.

People should vote with their wallet. If the companies that do all the R&D go out of business, who is left?

If the cloning parts claim is true then it would certainly help keep costs down. Had the statements not been made I would simply have guessed a lack of advertising overhead.

ETS - OLD STYLE

TurboXS

Turbo XS Downpipe

AMS Downpipe

I'm sure I could go through the whole website and finds parts from different manufacturers.... =\

Thanks,

You should be asking yourself why everyone else is so expensive

Offering a product that looks the same but lower quality is why this industry is the way it is. It's unfortunate, but in most cases you get what you pay for. I run across this daily when people compare a cheap intercooler to a quality intercooler.

Because its not made in China, that is why its "expensive." You pay for quality and results.

Wow they did completely copy those designs. I never realized that TurboXS was blatantly copying stuff.

I had their cat-back for the Evo X, quality; welds, tube routing, fitment etc, were good.

However, sound quality with a HFC was fair; too loud, droned and so on. Took it off and sold it within 3 days.

Their O2 pipe is less than fair. I've seen one in person, calling it an AMS O2 pipe would be a compliment, but it's not (looks only similar). The O2 casting and merge into the down-pipe is terrible.

Somewhere NOT in the USA. I have a TXS cat-back for my STi sitting in the attic because it hit my swaybar.
