So... I run the AMS CAI and have been running it for sometime now. The only issue i have with it is that it gets horribly dirty in the location behind the front number.

Specifically, it doesn't get that dirty up front were you get air coming in front he fog light area, but instead most of the dirt is coming in from behind the wheel well area.

So with a stroke of genius last night i figured i should invest in one of those hydro-shields or pre-filters. This will solve the issue, and will allow me to run this setup all year round worry free.

Just to be clear, im not worried about water. unless you run this thing and submerge it in a river, nothing will happen. My only concern is dirt, bugs, grime, etc....

So my question is, who here runs them, and is there a major or even minor hit in performance from running these shields?
