Can't do it tried it, doesn't feel right lol. Feels like walking on a very rough sidewalk barefooted, at least it is for me. Plus having slippery pedals makes it hard as is I need the best grip lol.

Flip flops are even worse, they can fall off while you drive. Some ppl are pros at it lol.

.

I started off learning to drive by taking off your shoes. I think it's better as you get the feel on how much gas and brake you should be using and get a better "feel" for the car. That's one of the reasons they make driving shoes, the padding is less on the ***** of the feet.

I knew I wasn't the only one. My wife and I drive barefoot, but she's from Maui and I'm an islander from CA and slippers (flip flops as it's known state side) are the shoe of choice. Except here in Colorado I have to wear Uggs in the winter. For some reason a lot of people here thing Uggs are for chicks.

That's weird and your from SoCal. Uggs were brought to the US from Australia/NZ by surfers. It was made popular by oprah. Basically they're "ugg"ly a$$ shoes made to keep your feet warm at the beach. Hardly any chicks wore them until Oprah advertised them.

I knew I was going to get $h!t for this

I drive barefooted when i have to run a quick arrond. Reach destination put on my shoes ( sometimes ackward since recaros dont allow you to move much ). But it doesn't feel comfy. It feels as if every mechanical motion in engine bay, tranny etc is channeled through the pedal to the sole of my foot

I used to drive barefooted when I learning how to drive my Evo VIII back in the day, now I just have to have some nice flat comfortable shoes to drive in. It was pretty bad....since I'm military, I used to take off my combat boots and drive and one morning Security Forces was doing a random vehicle check at the gate and had me pull over....I had to hurry up and put my boots back on before I got out the car...
