Is my evo just a piece of ****?

I purchased a evo 5 days ago.

My evo stopped going into 5th gear at 600ish miles, its at the dealership now. They told me they are having to pull apart the transmission.

My evos steering wheel isn't aligned correctly, about 5-6 degrees off from center.

My evo sound system will not read my iPhone 4 through usb port.

My evo battery takes about 5-6 cranks to start the motor.

All this with only 5 days of owner ship.

I have a 2006 evo 9, and I have never had an issue.

It's warranty repair, Mitsu will pay for a loaner/rental if you ask for one.

These are definitely not right and should be fixed before the car leaves the dealer again or you need a new car.

The FUSE system won't read iPhones or iPod touches which is lame but thats why you have Bluetooth and an aux audio in. My X takes a few cranks to start to and I think almost everyone's does.

WTF NO LOANER? seriously? 5 days after purchase and no loaner?

In california lemon law claims that you need THE SAME/IDENTICAL issue to fail 3 times prior to lemon being claimed. This is event 1, if in cali.

Sounds like your Evo has some QC issues.

The only way i can get my iphone 4 to work with my 2011 X is to use bluetooth.

What I did to get around the problem was to buy some large capacity USB sticks, and put songs on those instead, it works like a charm.

Wasn't there a fuse update that works with the iPhone, or was that only for Bluetooth calling

There is an optional TSB to update the FUSE head unit to support playing music from an iPhone 4 via the USB cable. Tell the dealer you want that installed while it's in the shop.
