Help with interior. a few problems after body shop

i had to take my car to the body shop because it had gotten some hail damage about two months ago in new york. It was brand new, i bought my RR evo x in July. After i got my car back it seems as if everything was ok for the first couple days. they changed the hood, roof, and did some work on the door. I was driving one day when i hit a bump and all of a sudden, the side pillar from the dashboard came right off, and was hanging from something. I went home and took a better look at it and it seems that its not clipped in. i did further inspection of the car and just about everything in the car is not clipped in. now i dont know how it works inside but i believe everything is held on to the car with clips. Is there a way i can fix this myself or should i go back to the body shop and curse them out. Also my door doesnt unlock/lock anymore with the actual key, probably because they did something with the door. does anyone know how to fix these issues. i have pictures of everything not clipped in..

Those parts you took pictures of are fixed on with clips yes. If they were payed to fix your car then it would be considered good to go back and inquire as to why those parts are not clipped or fixed solidly.

it does push back into place but after a while it falls off again. especially when going going over things like a bump or uneven road.

Sounds like they broke off you clips. Take it back or you can buy a new pillar. They're about 70.00 for the pillar.

****ty bodyshop. Let your insurance company see these pics. They will lose the insurance company's customers.

Oh and yeah like everyone said, go back and have them make it right. You deserve better.

check and see if the clip is still in the metal of the A-piller. i had the same problem and would push the plastic back on, but it would fall off... turns out the clip was in the hole in the metal and need to be pulled out and pushed on to the plastic to let the teeth really grip the cover. after that it never fell off again. good luck

I would go back to the body shop and let them know about it. Be nice when you go there. If they hassle you, leave and give your insurance a call.

You could fix it yourself if you have the time and really want to. However, you paid them money to fix your car, not to break it. I would make them do it if I were you.
