^^ I am also interested in this. I wonder how easy is the install??
To answer your question yes you'll need an HID kit. I am currently using DDM tuning HID kit(55w - 5000k) , it's been good so far

I know I would need a hid kit, but does it have to be d2s kit or 9006 kit??? Or I need a conversion from 9006 to a d2s kit??

Do you have projectors???

Ya, I need to do this one day. It's just ridiculous that all Evos don't have standard HIDs.

just curious, are those the stock evo projectors with aftermarket bulbs. If so how bright of a bulb can the stock unit handle?

They are TSX replica projectors with modified cutoff.

So to answer my other question, would I be able to run these bulbs in my stock hid's bc I feel they aren't bright enough for hid's as is.

Yes you can run HID bulbs in your stock housing. Just that the projectors will gives you better output

Talk to Matt at TSR. Tell him what you have, what you want, and he'll send you the right stuff.

Check out my sig for my quad retrofit.

if you have a 9006 halogen bulb in there get the kit that is for a 9006. this way the HID bulb fits in the housing. the ds2 are just the bulbs. since you don't have the ballast already it wont do you any good.
