Liking the new 2010 MR should I do a Cobb Stage 2?
Hi all
I'm really liking the new MR. I forgot how fun all wheel drive cars are. I had a GMC Syclone pick up for 10 years and still miss that truck.
Since I live in Dallas I have talked to the boys at Cobb and I'm thinking about doing a stage 2 on my MR but all the voided warranty posts scare the crap out of me.
Cobb advised a local dealer who sells some of their stage 1 and stage 2 cars will not void the warranty.
I normally keep my cars for 2 years and put about 20,000 miles on them but I might keep the MR up to 3 years if I do the Stage 2. What do you think?
Will the Stage 2 decrease the trade in value of the car?
Thanks
TJ

Seems alot of guys around here definitely think twice before purchasing a used Evo that's been modified. Think the rationale is that a) a used Evo might have been beat on and b) a modified Evo might have been beat on a little harder. Not really sure if that logic holds true for dealers taking trade-ins, though.
On the other hand, I've heard nothing but good about Cobb.. but I'd still probably talk to the local dealer first, and see how mod-friendly they actually are if you're concerned about having any warranty issues.
