I'm considering this or the original, but let me know if you've got either one on your X in the (Boston/Westborough/Andover) area or anywhere in between. I've only got a base ES at the moment, but I plan on buying an X GSR in a year when I graduate, and going simple intake/exhaust/tune so let me know if you've got something similar i could test ride in, thanks!

I have the original V2. It's not too loud, as you might be worried about. You can easily listen to sports talk radio with the volume around 20 at highway cruise speeds.

I've had mine for a few weeks. At first I was like, "Holy crap this is loud!" and then I learned how to drive my car without sending it over the top in terms of loudness. Of course if you go WOT its gonna open up and get beastly, but you can totally keep the beast contained if you want to.

This is how it breaks down for me:

If I'm at a stop, then go through the gears hitting over 3200 rpm it gets kinda loud. That same RPM at freeway cruise level in 6th is not loud at all.
Gets a little loud on hills when in 2nd or 3rd. Its more of a deep rumble more than anything
I was surprised how loud it is on a cold start up in the morning. It mellows out pretty quick though.

oh, btw it passes the wife test.
