Am I too careful?
It seems I do maintenance at my dealership maybe perhaps more then i should I've only put 24,000 km on it but I've changed the Oil and filter at every 5k mark (4k this time) and recently got the transaxel fluid changed. Am I being over cautious? I was also going to get my brake fluid flushed.
just curious don't know much about maintenance on cars?. :S

You think changing oil every 5k miles is to soon? Haha. I change mine every 2500. And I use Amsoil.
Royal purple sucks and I will never use that **** again. I can say that based on my personal experience and almost all test results show it is not on the same level as other synthetic oil.

Most of us use the OEM Mitsu filter. It's cheap and it's been proven to work.
OP is talking in kilometers, not miles, but still, he definitely isn't hurting anything (other than potentially his wallet) by the frequent fluid changes. I probably do mine too often too, but better too soon than too late... It really all depends on driving conditions and style though, I have a friend who waited until after 30k miles to change his drivetrain fluids and they came out looking factory fresh.

I don't think you are doing anything out of the ordinary. The maintenance schedule for us in Canada is for use to change the oil every 4,800kms anyways. So you are pretty much doing what the dealers ask for.
