Just moved to Boston. The drivers are as bad as advertised.

Been here less than a month and I've been in full-lock 5 times just avoiding some "special"driving. Being halfway into a right turn and suddenly veering left? Some of the most erratic speed/lane changes I've seen in my life? All within the last 4 weeks. I had a little "incident" this week with a taxi driver... I managed to avoid the taxi and the car he was running me into, but contact with the Jersey barrier in the 95 tunnel chewed up my fishtailing passenger rear wheel.

It is going to be so challenging to be a car guy up here. I miss Phoenix.

damn i feel your pain man. theres a lot of "special" people around where i live who somehow get their drivers. ive only had my evo for a few months now and have narrowly avoided 2 accidents already, not even speeding at the time

but that suck with the rim, but hey, its an excuse to go get some new ones now

Welcome to New England

I have already had to have 3 of my stock wheels repaired on my X thanks to these lovely roads.

I live in this city too. You get used to it after a while. And then you slowly start to enjoy it.

still not as bad as arkansas... All but one rim of mine has curb damage on them... I even went on 2 wheels for a few yards... All for trying to avoid loosing a side of my baby... Check my album... An idiot even ran over a freaking 18 wheeler tire tread just chilling on the far left side of the road (AFTER the graved part of the road which is AFTER the lane) and threw the tire to me... I tried to dodge it but didnt help much, at least I saved the AMS IC haha. 6k in damage (only paid 400 bucks deductible, got a free AMS SST cooler out of it and a GSR grill surround - MR's have chrome and I hate chrome).

I was there with my dad visiting a couple years ago. We mainly took taxi's everywhere. I think the drivers believe they are in the Indy 500. As fun as that was being the passenger I understand how frustrating that would be for you driving in it all the time. Just have to stay defensive and watch out for the other guy. Sucks about the wheel!

Not having much luck finding a replacement stock wheel on EvoM, quote for a new wheel is $825. This sucks, as I really wanted to have a set of 4 stockers for snows in the winter, track slicks in the summer in addition to street wheels. Looks like I'll be getting myself a new set of wheels for Christmas and creeping the evo-X FS boards on the regular for the replacement stock wheel.

I am finding myself learning how people drive here. Yesterday, I predicted that someone would make an abrupt double lane-change about a quarter mile before it happened. I'm fitting in already...
