I was totally sketching out on the thruway tonight, I kept thinking about this thread praying I saw no deer.

Its crazy during mating season you see dead deer all of the roads and highways, and barley ever see them dead during the spring/summer months.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's the internet, lol. Normally I'd take the time to actually think before posting but I was just shocked by the damage that deer could cause.

Sorry to see that. I am surprised the air bags didn't go off too. At least your safe!

Sorry to see that man. Hopefully you get everything put back together soon! Funny thing is I was just thinking about this last night while I was out tuning and I thought "Surely no deer is gonna jump out in front of me with as loud as this thing is"... It wasn't more than 5 minutes later that I saw a deer go running back through the field next to the road where I tune. That was my hint that it was time to wrap up tuning for the night

Sorry to see that happen. Glad ur ok enough to post up the aftermath. Like I say on the motorcycle forums...vehicles can be replaced, lives we can't...but at least we can eat those deers!

Insurance would cover, or if they deem the car totaled, u can get a new evo!

This really sucks. Deer are heavily populated in the area I live as well. I avoided hitting one last year but ended up hitting a wall instead and the insurance company totaled the EVO.

I ended up taking up hunting last year because of that accident.

Geez, I remember when I hit my first deer, I was in my fams 98 ford windstar doing about 50 on the backroads of GA. Scared the h*** out of me, I had literally just gotten my license 3 days prior and was like the 2nd time I had actually driven alone. Hope you get to feeling better.
