about to pull the trigger on a mr, need some help
sorry for posting this here instead of the sticky but i need some fast responses. im currently in afganistan and my wife is going to get the car next week. i got quoted 37.9k from the local dealer for a graphite grey mr with premium package. seems like a good deal. i can also get a wicked white with the same premium package for a few hundered more for the transfer fee. any advice if they seems like a bit much. the dealer says he wants to move it for a 2012. thanks.
tough decision. i feel your pain, i worked everything out myself while over here in afghanaland and picked it up over leave.
anyways, back on topic. that 37.9k seems pretty sweet for an MR seeing as i bought my 2011 for 36k but it's a GSR SSS. Plus, GG colored evo's are gorgeous IMO and had there been one in my local area back home, i would have gotten one. If you really want the GG get the GG. And theres really not going to be that big of a difference between 2011 and 2012... unless you want a blinking rev light.

Participating dealers will also offer no bs/no haggle pricing like "$500 over invoice" through that site as well.
Even if you don't actually use it to make the deal (like if your dealer isn't part of it), its a great resource to learn from.

GG are head turners, seems like everyone has WW nowadays.
Oct blue is beastly as well. I always turn when I see a GG, even when its bone stock. It just looks soooo right.

40g's for this brand new 2011: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/EVO-N...item3f1008ae83 so I think 37.9k is a good deal
I talked to the dealership in both North Dakota (I'm stationed there) and New York (where I am from)... both quoted about 36.5k for the GSR with everything I wanted in it and 38.5k for the MR. But I'm really picky... but im paying for it. Just gotta get back from Afghanistan... 6 more months.
local mitsu dealer is selling a used 08 MR with like 30K km on it and some minor, but visible body damage (scratches, nicks) and lowered on springs for $41K in toronto. lol.
in talking with a service manager, I was told off the record they had to fix the tranny. so, the car has obviously been completely abused and thrashed. your price seems like the deal of the century.

Its a good deal. Just make sure it doesnt have 100+ miles on it... That means it was a test drive vehicle or dealer abused car... Mine had 6 miles on it when i got mine in '10.
